The LiMAR Junk Basket is designed to drift the tubing and casing to confirm it is free from any restrictions as well as trap and retain any debris that may be suspended in the well bore fluid for retrieval back to surface.
Interchangeable gauge rings are fitted to the lower end of the basket section. The gauge rings are typically selected to suit the drift ID of the casing. During conveyance the gauge ring will guide any debris into the slotted basket above. The slots provide sufficient bypass for fluid without allowing the debris to pass through. During recovery a sliding mandrel will close and retain any debris collected within the basket chamber allowing it to be retrieved back to surface
