Whether this be to deepen an existing gas lift system, a velocity string to assist in lifting liquid to surface or a complete installation of a remedial gas lift string, LiMAR can offer a tooling solution.

A recent example of this occurred when working closely with a major customer in Asia Pacific. LiMAR® were asked to develop a Gas Lift Bottom Hole Assembly for use in highly corrosive environments. High CO2 in the produced fluids led to the conclusion that the entire assembly would need to be produced from 13% Chrome. Whilst the downhole tools for such an application are relatively unsophisticated, the challenge was to design, source material, produce, test and despatch a large volume of products to meet with the start date of an offshore campaign in an extremely short timescale. By applying the necessary resource, and accelerating the design and manufacturing processes LiMAR have not only developed and proven a number of new products but managed to meet with the customer’s short lead time and provide a high quality tooling package at short notice.

LiMAR can now offer a variety of Gas Lift BHA  specific components, to complement the existing range of Velocity String BHAs and cover almost every conceivable Insert String application.
