The LiMAR Adjustable Spring Jar is designed to provide optimum upward jarring impact force when used in conjunction with a correctly matched LiMAR Accelerator Sub.
Prior to deployment, the release setting can be adjusted using the Button Locking feature, set and then tested using a gauged Calibration Sub. An overpull equivalent to the preset release setting will ‘fire’ the jar upwards in a rapid motion. The jar is then simply re-cocked by setting down toolstring weight to re-latch the body to the jar rod. Unlike most jars available on the market the jar collet latch mechanism is positioned in the upper section of the jar housing. This makes the jar less prone to failure by the incursion of debris in and around the latch mechanism during utilisation.
