OUR SLICK KICKOVER TOOL

The orientation of a Side Pocket Mandrel (SPM) within a completion is rarely consistent and whether belly-up, belly-down or at any angle through 360deg, combining this unknown with significant deviation can render traditional Kickover Tools ill-equipped.

Changing out Gas Lift Valves (GLV) can be a tricky operation, even before well angle and SPM orientation is taken into consideration. So, to meet the challenges of today, LiMAR have developed an enhanced Kickover Tool solution designed to safely reach the Side Pocket Mandrel, align and function when at depth.

The LiMAR Slick Kickover Tool incorporates several features including a unique and compact Roller Bearing Swivel design, which greatly improves performance making KOT orientation even easier. Multiple grease points allow for simple maintenance of the upper and lower roller swivel subs, whilst also ensuring the internal components are well lubricated during periods of extended storage. The Slick Kickover Tool is suitable for both 1” and 1-1/2” Gas Lift Valve retrieval and comes in the following sizes:

• 2-3/8”
• 2-7/8"
• 3-1/2"
• 4-1/2
• 5-1/2”

Roller Diameters are available to suit most applications.

An optional Parallel Arm version is also available, designed to minimise the potential of causing damage to a Valve’s packing stack - during setting operations. This feature also limits the stresses on both the GLV, and Pulling Tool - during the setting and retrieval processes.
