The LiMAR Shear Release Disconnect is designed to provide a mechanical release point within a Coiled Tubing BHA.
If a Coiled Tubing BHA becomes inadvertently stuck down hole, an overpull will shear a pre-determined number of shear screws to allow the upper section to disconnect from the lower assembly, leaving a standard GS internal type fish neck profile for future retrieval of the lower BHA section.
